of course i'm no specialist, but light (visible i assume we are talking about) is an electoromagnetic wave, when it goes through any medium, it would be refracted or absorbed depending on what the medium is. the light you see after the glass probaby wasn't affected, refracted, or absorbed...otherwise, wouldn't it turn into heat or stay the same speed through the medium? all electromagnetic waves travel at the same speed, they just have different frequencies...so if it slows down it must turn into somthing...right?
